2009 Summer/Fall Newsletter
Greetings Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,
Many events, with much change have taken place since the writing of our last newsletter.
At the end of 2007, after elections, Kenya suffered a time of great political upheaval, which caused widespread tensions, loss of life, displaced families, famine and disease. Some families still reside in refugee camps in certain areas, but there are reports of the land being healed, violence and destruction have subsided, and government officials are working together for the common good of the people.
As a ministry, we have likewise experienced shifts, redirection and renewal. We have journeyed into the wilderness, seeking the Face of God concerning His Will in this work. As a result, transformation is taking place. To be Kingdom people, our flesh and self will must in order to fully serve and follow after the will of God. The greatest message is that God is Love, and He so loved that He gave: John 3:16; and it was so in the beginning, Genesis1:1; In the beginning, God created; And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness; Gen. 1:26: the express image of Christ. Heb. 1:2.
We are commissioned, constrained, compelled, by the Love of Christ, by the command of God to “Go Ye therefore, into all the world,” not living unto ourselves, but unto him which died for us, and rose again.
In the past 2 years, God has worked through ministry partners/friends in mighty, powerful ways, to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In March we were privileged to go with a team to minister in Guatemala for 10 days. God has enabled us this year to sow into Israel, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Haiti, Guatemala, Uganda, and Tanzania. We pray that God would enlarge our coasts.
Funds were raised to purchase goats and chickens, food and resources in famine stricken regions in Kenya. Financial support has been supernaturally provided to build and plant churches, and to make provision for indigenous Pastors to reach their villages more effectively. Every church that has been built, or established thus far is growing to overflow. If you build it, they will come.
Through CGF Foundation, five new churches have been built, or under construction in various districts. One is ready to be launched in Nairobi. At least two churches have expanded.
In April we hosted our 3rd Annual Mission’s Conference, called “The Trumpets Call” gathering the Nations.” Bishop Franklin Ragwa and two other Pastors from Kenya were able to come to minister during the meetings, along with other local and international missionaries and worship leaders. What an awesome time!
We are grateful to God for connecting us with people from every nation, kindred, tongue and tribe. Every person is vital; we all need each other, so much more in these end times. God is bringing brethren to us from other nations, who know the suffering, persecution and hardship, to teach us to pray, to seek the face of God and rely on Him as our source. In turn, we teach them how to give, even out of lack, to sow into the fields reaped from, in order to maintain fruitfulness, to prevent barrenness.
We praise God for all of you who support this ministry through prayer, sowing and reaping in the harvest fields!! We are grateful for our ministry team, and we Thank God for making ALL THINGS POSSIBLE!
In the Service of the Savior,
Larry & Janet Blair
